  How it Works

Whats Included

Using the ClickBack backup appliance as your backup solution is simple. The small tower form factor is about half the size of a regular PC, and is designed to stand either vertically or horizontally, so it's easy to find a place for it in your office.

There are only two cables needed, network and power, and both come in the box. There are no tape drives to worry about, and no software to install. Simply plug the ClickBack backup appliance into your network, and you're ready to go!

Easy Setup

Once your ClickBack backup appliance is plugged into your network, simply access it from any other computer on the network via your Internet browser. There is no software to install on your workstations. You'll just use your pre-assigned user name and password to log on and configure your server.

After you've logged onto your ClickBack appliance, select the server share that you would like to back up, or you can specify that the appliance back up several server shares.

Backup and Restore

Your ClickBack backup appliance automatically backs up the specified server or workstation shares every night at midnight, or at the time that you specify. It will automatically save the two most recent versions of every file.

The restore process is easy. Simply open Microsoft® Windows Explorer and copy and paste the backed up file from the ClickBack share to any destination. You can configure the ClickBack to specify restoring as enabled or disabled, and designate the backup share as read-only or read-write. The unit also creates a daily log file listing each backed-up file.

Technology

ClickBack is based on a Linux platform and features browser-based administration. There is no software to install on any of the target systems. It has an intuitive easy-to-use interface and is ready to go out of the box.
